French language edition of issue #1 USSR in Construction, 1935. USSR in Construction was a constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR, published in Russian, French, English, and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. This issue focuses on the Maksim Gorky Propaganda Squadron, a squadron of aircraft which toured the most isolated parts of the USSR, disseminating propaganda leaflets, films, and radio broadcasts. The squadron boasted the largest aircraft in the world at the time. This issue of the magazine contains photos of numerous aircraft, including the Pravda plane, and images of pilots throwing leaflets overboard, a great pull out photomontage of staff working in a plane by Z Deyneka, a large map of the squadron's destinations and a pull out montage of parachutists floating in the sky. Fair condition, staining, foxing, minor paper loss on bottom right corner of the front cover.
