English language version of issue #11 of USSR in Construction, 1931. USSR in Construction was a constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR, published in Russian, French, English, and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. This issue is titled 'Leningrad in Construction', and features great photography of the city (now St Petersburg). Features include 'The Red Putilov Plant - cradle of the Soviet tractor', 'Leningrad - in the van of the cultural revolution', and 'Bread factories and factory kitchens feed Leningrad'. Of particular note are stunning aerial photographs of Leningrad. Poor condition, central pages are loose with some photos cut out, tears, paper losses, creasing, staining.
