USSR in Construction was a constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR, published in Russian, French, English, and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. This issue is dedicated to Soviet Sakhalin - Sakhalin is the northernmost island of the Japanese archipelago, and is the largest island in the Russian Federation. The issue includes features on Sakhalin Oil, fisheries, hunting and logging, with stunning photography of the island's infrastructure and inhabitants by M Alpert, V Kinelovsky and Y Yakovlev.
