English language edition of issue #4 of USSR in Construction, dated 1930. USSR in Construction was a constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR, published in Russian, French, English, and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. This issue covers the Dnieper Hydro-Scheme and the Turkestan-Siberia Line, with striking photographs of the projects showing bridges, railways, dams, cranes, shipyards, the steppe, farmers, as well as portraits of locals and maps. Poor condition, paper losses, tears, damage to the spine, staining, pencil writing on cover.
