USSR in Construction was a constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR, published in Russian, French, English, and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. This edition celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Azerbaijan oil industry, featuring photos by M Alpert and G Petrusov, and composition by El Lissitzky. A great issue with a large selection of photographs of workers drilling for oil, oil refineries etc. Includes a graphic showing the growth in oil output and a geographical map of Azerbaijan. Poor condition, covers detached with creasing, paper skimming, tears and paper losses. Inside pages in good condition, minor staining and paper losses.
