USSR in Construction #5-6 1938

French edition of issues #5 and #6 of СССР на стройке / SSSR Na Stroika / USSR in Construction, published 1938. USSR in Construction was a publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR, published in Russian, French, English and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. The issue is devoted to the Far East territoy. They include insert maps of the USSR, decorated with illustrations of ships, planes, and trains, and symbols representing industries in the Far East, as well as photos of Vladivostok, and industry, universities, wildlife, agriculture and portraits from the Far East of the Soviet Union. Photography and editing by artists including El Lissitzky, Z Deyneka, P Pavlenko, A Fadeyev, M Prekhner, and A Shaihet. Published in USSR, translated by Leon Sobolev. Good condition, staining, browning, minor creasing.
