Issue #8 of USSR in Construction 1940. USSR in Construction was a monthly constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR, published in Russian, French, English, and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. This issue is devoted to Soviet teachers, anfd focuses on Petr Solmonovich Kapanadze, a teacher in Soviet Georgia. Features photos of Kapanadze speaking to crowds, teaching children in schools and in Tbilisi's Park of Culture. The final page has a poem about education by Mayakovsky. Good condition, tears, marks and creasing on the back cover, marks on inner pages, some pencil writing. Sticker on front cover.
