Dated 24 February, 1929, this is the 9th volume of the weekly magazine on theatre called "Rabochy i Teatr" ["Worker and Theatre"], printed in a run of 28 000 copies. This issue reviews the performance of "Vragi" ["The Enemies"] at the theatre "Proletarsky Akter" ["The Proletarian Actor"], taunts recent trends in musical critique, and discusses the organisation of the Soviet Philharmonic Ensemble. A few pages long playbill of the upcoming performances and shows in Moscow is included at the end of the issue. Numerous satirical drawings and photographs from the performances are an integral part of the journal. Great condition, paper faded, slight tears on the edges, original colours of the covers (orange) preserved. 24 pages.
