Soviet Constructivist magazine Worker and Theatre, issue number 3, 19th January, 1926. A weekly magazine giving updates about theatre, film music, radio and stage. First published in 1923, edited in Leningrad. A portrait of Lenin on the front cover by M Kurilko, advertisements for film and theatre on the back cover. This edition includes articles on the 'Cultural Revolution' and a comment article 'Romanticism or Flabbiness?'. There is also a section entitled 'Movie Screen' detailing the new films of the week and an article 'Cinema-Theatre Confusion'. List of some artwork inside: a painting 'Chang-Gitang' by M Z Levin; cartoons by N M Kocherin; a photograph of a scene from the film 'Flood', full page text poster for the upcoming first Russian action film Battleship Potemkin. Good condition, some stains on the front cover, spine slightly frayed. Bottom half of page 11-12 cut out. 32 pages.
