Soviet Constructivist magazine Worker and Theatre, issue number 36, 8th September, 1929. A weekly magazine giving updates about theatre, film music, radio and stage. First published in 1923, edited in Leningrad. A photomontage of various photographs from different productions including 'The Man with the Briefcase' and 'Town of Winds' on the front cover, deatils of productions on the back cover. This edition includes articles 'Red Theatre under Attack' and 'For an Uninterrupted Week in Theatre and Film', and a final feature on the 'Opening of the Winter Season'. List of some artowrk inside: a photograph from the ballet 'Red Poppy'; a photograph of V S Sharonov; a photograph of the composer D Shostakovich; two caricatures entitled 'The Red Theatre: At Random' by N Kochergin. Good condition, top left corner of front cover folded over, a tear in the middle of the back cover. 24 pages.
