Soviet Constructivist magazine Worker and Theatre, issue number 39, 29th September, 1929. A weekly magazine giving updates about theatre, film music, radio and stage. First published in 1923, edited in Leningrad. A photograph from the play 'Underwood' on the front cover, a timetable by 'The Leningrad Area's Department of Sovkino' on the back cover. This edition includes articles 'For a United Artist's Centre' and 'Results of the First Five Year Plan'. There is also a piece summarising the 'Summer Season'. List of artwork inside: a photograph from the production of 'Underwood' depicting A Bryntsev and B Zon; a photogrpah from the film 'Mortal Number'; a photograpg of the stage of 'Underwood'; a cartoon entitled 'Philistine Carousel' by E S Tamruchin. Good condition, spine frayed, corner of front cover slightly creased. 24 pages.
