Original vintage magazine Zhurnalist Journalist #6 May-June 1923. Soviet monthly magazine, the only professional publication that covers all aspects of the activities of the media. The first issue of the magazine came out in January 1914. The first editor-in-chief of the journal was Vladimir Friche, a Russian literary and art critic. After the revolution, the name of the journal changed several times, in 1922 - 1933 the magazine was published again under the original name. This issue is dedicated to discussion of the press at the 12th Congress of the Russian Communist Party; the role of the press in strengthening the ties between the party, the working class, and the peasantry; statistics on the number of newspapers and literary workers in different cities of the USSR; the commandments of a journalist; several poems by Osip Mandelstam, Vladimir Mayakovsky and Igor Severyanin, and excerpts from parodies in the magazine Krokodil; the history of the Iskry printing house; printing in England and other articles, accompanied by photographs and illustrations. Printed by Dom Pechati, Moscow, 84 pages. Fair condition, tears and paper losses on the spine and cover, pencil marks and stain on the cover, minor foxing, creasing.
