Mechislav Dobrokovsky was a graphic artist,book and magazine illustrator,painter and poster artist. Dobrokovsky was a member of the Society of Easel Artists,participated in the 1st and the 3rd exhibitions of this society. Since 1923 Dobrokovsky collaborated with the magazine \"Bezbozhnik u Stanka\" (“Atheist at the Machine”),where he worked with A Deyneka,D Moor and M Cheremnykh. After becoming friends with D Moor and under his influence,Dobrokovsky became engaged in poster art. He created posters: \"Kaveh the Blacksmith\" (1921), \"Song of the Collective (1928) and \"We are Going Full Steam Ahead on the Path from Industrialization to Socialism\" (1931). In 1925 Dobrokovsky was awarded a gold medal and a diploma at the International exhibition of fine and decorative arts in Paris. Photos by N Skryabin for the article \"Gypsy Tales\".
