The publication is a programme brochure accompanying the performance of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo on 3 January, 1940 at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago (the group performed there between 26 December, 1939, and 4 January, 1940); presented by S. Hurok and directed by Leonide Massine. The ensemble danced to Beethoven's Seventh Symphony, Rossini's "La Boutique Fantastique," Tchaikovsky's "The Bluebird," and Rimsky-Korsakoff's "Capriccio Espagnol." Numerous advertising and the section with highlights of the Ballet on Columbia Records accompany the programme. Excellent condition, paper, photographs and illustrations in original standing. 22 pages.
