Prozhektor № 22 (140), Soviet illustrated literary and satirical magazine, published 16 December 1928. Prozhektor was published in Moscow as a supplement to the newspaper Pravda in 27 May 1928. Includes photos of Leningrad (now St Petersburg), a Siberia-Turkestan road being built, and sailors on a ship. Also includes an article on the Shakhty Trial, one of the first Soviet show trials after 1922, accompanied by photos of four of the lead defendants accused of conspiring to sabotage the Soviet economy, and a drawing titled 'The Shakhty ulcer will be opened' by Yuliy Ganf. Features cartoons, satirical drawings, short stories, current affairs articles, photos and an interesting selection of adverts. Very good condition, foxing, creasing, staining, ink smudges from printing.
