Photographs are by A. Shaihet, Soviet photographer, one of the founders of the Soviet photo essay, master of documentary photography; Georgi Zelma, Soviet photographer and photojournalist. Best known for his photographs of Central Asia in the 1920s, of major industrial projects in the early days of the Soviet Union, and of World War II. He was a major contributor to the constructivist photography movement through the 1920s-30s. Published by "Pravda" newspapers, 75 000 copies. Poor condition, missing paperclip, tears, loss of material and rubbings on the spine and on margins. Staining, 4 pages are missing. Horizontal crease. 4 pages.
