Prozhektor #38 1928

Issue #38 (156) of Prozhektor, a Soviet illustrated literary and satirical magazine, dated 16 September 1928. Prozhektor was published as a supplement to Pravda newspaper from 1923 to 1935. This is a great issue which includes artwork by Y Ganf, A Brey, Y Pimenov, Kukryniksy, and Gromnitsky, and photography from N Sterzer, V Savelev, A Samsonov, and P Ezersky. Photography and articles focus on celebrations of the International Youth Day, a Young Pioneers camp in Berlin, the death of Croatian politician Stjepan Radic, the Volga River, and the Red Navy on warships. Good condition, foxing, very minor tear on spine of cover, minor creasing.
