Prozhektor #39 1928

Issue #39 (157) of Prozhektor, a Soviet illustrated literary and satirical magazine, dated 23 September 1928. Prozhektor was published as a supplement to Pravda newspaper from 1923 to 1935. The issue includes a series of photos titled 'Kiev Manoeuvres' with soldiers reading maps and doing training exercises, a series of photos titled 'On the Black Sea in Soviet Kavkaz', a feature on the artist Abram Manevich with reproductions of his work, an article about vitamins in food and illustrations by Y Ganf, Kukryniksy and K Rotov. Also includes adverts, short stories, current affairs articles and poetry. Very good condition, minor tear on spine of cover, minor marking, foxing.
