Original vintage constructivist magazine Ekran,issue number 19,August 1925. The ‘working newspaper’. Weekly magazine on recent developments in the USSR and abroad. The cover features the drawing Nizhny Novgorod Fair. Porters and Persian merchants in front of the main house by the artist K.G. The back cover features the advertising of the publishing house Lengiz of textbooks and scientific literature. The issue includes articles about the successes of the Italo-Soviet trade; the murder of Kotovsky,a Soviet military and political activist,and a participant in the Russian Civil War; an excerpt from the novel by Hans Dominik,a German science fiction and non-fiction author,science journalist and engineer with drawings by the artist K. Golstei; photographs illustrating the news of the week,such as the arrival of French and Belgian teachers in Moscow,the celebration of the Weimar Constitution,the Chinese delegation of the postal congress in Paris,a story about the Bulgarian uprising with illustrations by K. What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
