This booklet is dedicated to Victory of the Allies over Nazi Germany. Articles describe achievements of the Allies in different part of the words. Contains photographs of celebrations of V day in united Kingdom,USA,Europe and so on. Has colourful maps made by E. Longman,depicting different stages of Second World War in progress. Several pages are dedicated to humour and caricatures,one of the artists was Rowland Emett,English cartoonist and constructor of whimsical kinetic sculpture. Pictures by John Everard of camel and donkey race meeting provided in Coiro by G.H.Q. for entertainment of the troops during their V.E. holiday. Everard was a First World War veteran and former tea planter, who became a British press and studio photographer. Good condition,rubbings and minor loss of material on the spine and on the margins. Tear on page 25.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
