Issue #37 (155) of Prozhektor,a Soviet illustrated literary and satirical magazine,dated 9 September 1928. Prozhektor was published as a supplement to Pravda newspaper from 1923 to 1935. This issue includes a feature on Tolstoy,with photographs of Tolstoy in his home Yasnaya Polyana and with his family. Articles discuss his life,where he lived,and the Tolstoy Museum. A double page spread is dedicated to photos of the 5th World Congress of the Young Communist International. Also includes an article focused on communist protests in Leipzig,photos of a sports event,and artwork by Kukryniksy,Y Ganf and Y Pimenov. Very good condition,minor staining,minor foxing.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
