Original vintage Soviet constructivist magazine Science and Technology Nauka i Tehnika #5 January 1931. Nauka i Tehnika was a monthly magazine on scientific and technical breakthroughs in the USSR. The cover features a drawing of a jump on a motorcycle from a height of 150 meters. The issue includes articles about a transillumination of a running engine; tailless airplanes; automatic skyscraper lifts; the industrial significance of the apocynum,the Irkutsk-Bodaibo airlines; the arch bridge of the engineer Herrer system; testing a parachute on a motorcycle; studies of construction processes from 2000 years ago; experiments with the revival of the imaginary dead,other scientific news,accompanied by illustrations and schemes. What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
