Original vintage brochure The S. M. Kirov Model Collective Fishery / Fisherei - Musterkolchos «S. M. Kirow» in English and German. The brochure is dedicated to the fishing collective farm in the Estonian SSR named after Sergei Mironovich Kirov,a Soviet politician and Bolshevik revolutionary whose assassination led to the first Great Purge. Kirov was an early revolutionary in the Russian Empire and member of the Bolshevik faction of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party. The brochure covers the history of the creation of the collective farm over its 35 years,production activities,examples of products,working conditions,and opportunities for the workers in their spare time. The brochure is illustrated by statistical graphs and charts,and photographs by Priit Estna and Gustav German,designed by Mati Veermets. Published by publishing house Perioodika,Tallinn,24 pages. Good condition,tears on the spine and cover,folds,rusted staples,minor stain and foxing,creasing.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
