Soviet Constructivist magazine Worker and Theatre,issue number 2,10th January,1930. A weekly magazine giving updates about theatre,film music,radio and stage. First published in 1923,edited in Leningrad. This edition's theme is 'antirealism' includes articles entitled 'The Muscial Spike','Artist and Viewer' and a feature on the new release 'Tramway of Piety'. List of some artwork inside: a selection of photographs of the actors and actress in the Moscow play 'Remelting'; a caricature by Tamruchin of Anton Shvarits; a photograph of pianist A Borovski; a drawing by V N Solovyev to accompany the Programme of Leningrad Theatre which appears as a separate booklet inside the magazine. Good condition,small stains on the front cover. 19 pages.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
