Original vintage tourist advertising brochure in Russian and German Catherine Park / Ekaterininskij park / Katerinen-Park produced by the Main Directorate of Culture of the Executive Committee of the Leningrad City Council of the State Museum in Pushkin. The brochure is dedicated to the large landscaped area to the south of the Catherine Palace,located in the town of Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin),25 km southeast of St. Petersburg,Russia. The park complex was created over the XVIII-XIX centuries and is considered one of the world's best examples of garden and park art. Includes photographs of popular attractions like the Hermitage Museum and Catherine Palace by Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli,Fountain «Girl with a jug»,Marble Bridge,and the park scheme on the back cover. Published by Vneshnetorgizdat,30 pages. Very good condition,tears on the spine and cover,minor creasing.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
