Original vintage constructivist magazine Ekran,issue number 7,20th February 1926. The ‘working newspaper’. Weekly magazine on recent developments in the USSR and abroad. The cover features a drawing The peasants vote at the congress of the rural councils by the artist K.T. On the back cover is an illustration for an advertisement for Murzilka,a popular Soviet and Russian illustrated magazine for 6–12 year olds,published since May 1924. The issue includes articles about congress of the rural councils in Moscow region; the death of poetess and writer Larissa Reissner; political life of Paris with caricatures by the artist K. Golstein; the story of the Turkish traveler Zekki Bay; plague in Saratov; exhibition of Saltykov-Shchedrin; travel in Japan; film reviews and advertising accompanied by photographs and drawings. What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
