The cover features a still from the film Sar-Pige (A woman),produced by Chuvashkino; the back cover features a still with actors Egorova and Smirnov from the film Ekaterina Izmailova,a 1926 silent Soviet film. The issue includes a caricature of Viktor Deni,a Russian satirist,cartoonist and poster artist. Deni was one of the major agitprop poster artists of the Bolshevist period; articles about film Metropolis,a 1927 German expressionist science-fiction drama film directed by Fritz Lang,and written by Thea von Harbou in collaboration with Lang from von Harbou's 1925 novel of the same name; the film The Wings of a Serf (Krylya kholopa),a 1926 Soviet silent historical film directed by Yuri Tarich; a story with illustrations by M.
