Original vintage Constructivist film magazine Soviet Screen Sovetsky Ekran #14 April 1929. It was a weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. The front cover features a photograph of the thaw. The issue includes various advertisements; the news of the past week,such as the labour movement in Argentina; the arrival of the oil tanker of the USSR in the Novorossiysk port; the all-Union export conference in Moscow; articles about the Japanese army in China and Jinan incident or 3 May Tragedy began between Chiang Kai-shek's National Revolutionary Army and Japanese soldiers and civilians in Jinan; Sakhalin,the island in the East of Russia; botanical gardens of the North Caucasus; the production of Soviet porcelain,filming movies in the taiga and tundra,and others,accompanied by photographs and illustrations by S Korshunov,K Eliseev,M Hrapkovsky,I Chernomordik. What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
