Unique publication celebrating the centenary of the Maly Theatre in Moscow,published in a limited run of 1500 copies. The book contains essays examining the history,future,and impact of the venue on Russian and Soviet theatre in general (one of the texts written by Anatoly Lunacharsky). Graphics by Boris Titov accompany the texts. The notes to a cantata composed by Sergei Vasilenko in honour of the centenary of the Theatre are included at the end. Poor condition,cover is detached from inner pages,graphics peeling from pages but still attached,staining,foxing,creasing,minor paper loss on spine.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
