Russian magazine Theatre,issue number 7,12th February 1924. Constructivist theatre magazine first published in 1922,The issue is dedicated to 5th year anniversary of the Grand Dramatic Theatre - Bolshoy Dramaticheskyi Teatr (BDT). The magazine also has articles documenting recent theatrical releases in the Soviet Union. The front cover features a photo of the set designed by Y Annenkov for the play by A Tolstoy's 'Revolt of Machines' appearing in the Great Dramatic Theatre,on the back cover an advertisemnet for the new Sovkino release 'Chamberlain'. This edition includes articles entitled 'Purposeful Road',which speaks of the ideology of the great Dramatic Theatre. As well as other features 'Hello Andrei' and 'New Music'. List of some artwork inside: photographs from the play 'The Story of Gofman' by J Offenbach supplied by the theatre. Good condition,top left hand corer of most pages creased or folded over. Small tears and creases on the back cover. 31 pages.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
