Maly Theatre always has been the bastion of classical theatrical tradition. In the 1920s the Blue Blouse was on trends like proletarian theatre and avant-garde experiments of Meyerhold and Tairov. Maly stayed with the tradition, though it was criticized heavily. In 1930s Maly gained its reputation back and became one of the best-recognized theatres of the Union. After a lot of experimental and avant-garde theatres were closed, some of the leading actors found its salvation in joining the troupe of Maly. FAQs

More information about our posters and service.

Are your posters originals?

All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
