Soviet magazine For the Socialist Reconstruction of Cities,issue number 1,1932. Published in Moscow by ‘Power of the Soviets’ publishing company. A design for ‘Revolutionary Stalingrad’ on the front cover,photographs how the villages and towns were formally,on the back cover. Inside it features articles entitled ‘The Programme for the Building of Socialism’,‘Fighting Problems’ and ‘Increase our House Building!’ as well as features on Magnitogorsk and the idea of building a canal from the Volga to Moscow. List of artwork inside: various photographs accompany the articles; a photomontage of ‘Seven Building Projects’ with an image of Stalin. Poor condition,spine frayed and damaged. Front cover badly torn on the corners and the spine,back cover frayed along the edges and the spine and torn on the top edge. Fold out element of back page torn out and enclosed separately. 88 pages.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
