1905 Year in Caricature is an album of Krokodil,satirical magazine published in the Soviet Union. It was founded in 1922,at first as the satirical supplement to the Workers' Gazette,later becoming a separate publication. This publication is dedicated to the events of 1905 taken place in Russia,such as Bloody Sunday. Many illustrations are taken from magazines published in 1905,such as "L'Assiette au Beurre","Zhupel" "Zritel","Adskaya Pochta","Payats","Zerkalo","Strelu","Vampir" and "Sprut". Illustrations are made by B. Kustodiev,A. Serov,M. Dobuzhinsky,B. Kustodiev,Z. Grzhebin,V. Nevsky,E. Lanceray,S. Zhivotovsky,I. Bilibin and D. Kardovsky. Published by "Rabochaya Gazeta" publishers,Moscow,150 000 copies. Fair condition,tears and loss of material on the margins and the spine,staining,creases,frayed pages. Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
