Original vintage Soviet Magazine For Technical Book / Za Tehnicheskuyu Knigu,illustrated technical literary magazine No 8-9 1932,issued by Organ of the Production and Technical Propaganda Sector of the People's Commissariat of Heavy Industry. The cover features a montage of two images depicting workers in a factory looking at the machinery operation and an image of a worker raising hammer in his hand,bold white and red lettering set over red and black background. The issue features articles on scientific and technical journal review,technical review for youth,criticism of technical book distribution,list of new books on technology,including electronics,metal processing blacksmith foundry,with photographs depicting workers in a factory,first aluminium plant in USSR,installation of oilers at the Dnieper hydroelectric power station,a female worker at the Tiraspol regional power plant,textile factory,tobacco cigarette factory,Stalingrad tractor factory,paper packing process,Magnitogorsk blast furnace candles at the time of loading it with coke. 47 pages. Good condition,staining on the cover,rusted staple marks,missing staple,pages 34-35 and 38-39 uncut,stamps of defunct library on pages.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
