Dated 30 December,1929,this is the twenty-fourth volume of the magazine for politics,culture,criticism and bibliography,titled "Kniga I Revolutsiya" ["Book and the revolution"]. Released in 4500 copies,this bi-weekly publication celebrates the literature of the Soviet Union,reviews newly-published books,and overviews the state of the Soviet publishing industry. Among the articles in this issue one text elaborates on the newly-established Soviet Republic of Tadzhikistan. Numerous movie posters and book covers accompany the text. The design is by Varvara Stepanova. Excellent condition,tears on the edges,paper faded,some light stains,stamps,some pencil notes,delicate cuts on the spine. 64 pages.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
