Soviet Magazine Red Field,issue number 15,10th April 1927. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Biweekly magazine. A painting of a peasant woman by V I Surikov on the front cover entitled ‘Townswoman’. Advertisements for the newspaper Izvestia and the magazines Red Field’ and New World on the back cover designed by I Bograd. This edition includes a collection of verse,with poems entitled ‘Stop’ and ‘The First Sowing’,stories ‘Water in the Fire’ by S Grigory and article ‘Lenin’s Baron’. List of some artwork inside: ‘Winter Gutter’ by A N Benya; illustrations by K Kuznetsov to accompany the story ‘Water in the Fire’; a painting ‘In Chinese Blood’ by V Deni. Fair condition,cuts and wear along the spine,faint stamp mark on the back cover,unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume. 23 pages.

Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
