Soviet weekly magazine Red Field,issue №24,10 June 1928. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Constructivist cover has original painting made by A. Lavrov,Soviet graphic artist,illustrator,decorator and poster artist. This issue contains story "Baked apple" by Sergei Grigoriev,Soviet writer,author of historical,adventure and science-fiction works for children and youth; "World satire and humour","Did you know that". Contains two colourful images of painting "Georgians" by P. Konchalovsky,Russian painter,a member of the Jack of Diamonds group and painting "Singer in Green" by E. Degas,notable French artist famous for his paintings,sculptures, prints,and drawings. Published by "Izvestij TSIK USSR and VTSIK",110 000 copies. Poor condition,several pages missing. Staples are missing. Was part of bound yearly volume. Tears and loss of material on the spine. Minor dusting,rubbings and staining. Pencil handwriting on the last page. Small cancelled library stamp on the back cover.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
