Soviet Magazine Red Field,issue number 34,19th August 1928. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. The fron cover features a painting Finish by I Dubasov of a runner on the front cover,the number '34' emblazoned on his chest. An advertisement for 'Sovkino' the Soviet state production company on the back cover. This special sports edition includes the illustrated article 'Across the Green Winter' and 'Rubber War' by D Sokolov. There is also a poetry section including poems 'Remains' and 'Mowing'. List of some artwork inside: illustrations by K Yeliseeva to accompany the article 'Across Green Winter'; a photograph entitled 'The Festival of Sport'; various paintings for the section 'Sport in Art',including 'Football' by A Deyneka and a drawing by Y Pimenov. Full page drawing by A Deyneka Sportsmen on the front page. Fair condition,cuts and wear along the spine,faint stamp mark on the back cover,unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume. 24 pages.

Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
