First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Biweekly magazine. A stunning painting entitled ‘Red Fields’ by S Chekhonin on the front cover,advertisements for a savings bank on the back cover. Various advertisements on the back pages. The editions includes an illustrated story ‘Siege of the River’ by Fedor Gladkov,a poem ‘October Song’ by D Semonovsky,another story ‘Children’ by Arosev,and a song by M Svetlov. List of some artwork inside: a painting of Lenin by Y Annenkov; a photograph of a statue of Lenin by I Mendelevich; a painting ‘October 1917’ by A Osmerkina,numerous illustrations in text by S Chekhonin. Fair condition,front cover detached,cuts and wear along the spine,faint stamp mark on the back cover,unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume. 51 pages.

Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
