Constructivist film magazine Soviet Movie Screen,issue number 4,22nd January 1927. Printed in Moscow. Weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. A painting advertising the film Sar-Pige from the Guvashkino production studio,the artist is uncredited. A photographic still from the Sovkino release ‘Ekterina Izmailova’ on the back cover. This edition includes an original flyer from the ‘Leningrad Tobacco Trust’ advertising a range of cigarettes and listing the locations of their stores across Russia; including Moscow Kiev and Omsk. Articles inside include ‘A film-library is necessary’,‘Soviet Operators in Turkey’ and a feature on ‘Metropolis’ a German film directed by Fritz Lang. Artwork inside includes: a drawing of Harold Lloyd by Deni; an illustrated cartoon by M. Getmansky entitled ‘Without Reliability’; a photographic still from ‘Sar-Pige. Good condition,page 11-12 with a portrait of a star cut out. 13 pages.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
