Original vintage Constructivist film magazine Soviet Screen Sovetsky Ekran #9 1926. It was a weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. The front cover features a photograph of the actress Shaterpikova in the film Borba Gigantov,a Soviet drama film directed by Viktor Turin,the back cover features a photograph of the actor Sobolevsky in the film The Devil's Wheel (Chyortovo koleso),a 1926 Soviet silent crime film directed by Grigori Kozintsev and Leonid Trauberg. The issue features articles about roles of captions in films by Mikhail Levidov,a Soviet writer,playwright and journalist with a caricature by Mariya Sinyakova; production of film Borba Gigantov; portraits of E. Kuzis,the assistant of director Room, actress Nune Aganbekova,director E. Stanislavsky,screenwriter N. Borisov,actor N. Panov; Douglas Fairbanks,an American actor,screenwriter,director,and producer,accompanied with photographs by M Getmansky,Y Steinberg,M Sokolov. 15 pages. What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
