French language edition of issue #6 of USSR en Construction / USSR in Construction,published 1936. USSR in Construction was a constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR,published in Russian,French,English and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. This issue is dedicated to hydropower,and features a great selection of constructivist photos and photomontages. Includes drawings of Lenin and Stalin,a feature on the electrification of the Soviet Union accompanied by illustrated maps,a photomontage of hydroelectricity power plants,a great image titled 'Water helps us Fly' with planes flying over an ocean,and an illustration of 'The electric constellation of the Soviet Union' showing a map of power plants represented by stars. The issue also comes with a detached photo of Maxim Gorki (1868-1936). The artists involved in the issue include S Alperin,M Alpert,M Goldstein,S Bamouner,B Bogdan,L Gaykarovitch,Glitchev,P Grohovsky,S Kulagin,B Kudoyarov,G Petrusov,M Prekhner,A Shaihet,A Sterenberg,with layout and by Nikolai Troshin,and maps and graphics by E Nikitin,D Gaverdovski. Poor condition,staining,tears,creasing,browning,paper loss on the back cover. The spine has been restored,the central pages are loose but not fully separate,ink stamp on front cover.

Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
