English language version of issue #2 USSR in Construction from 1934. USSR in Construction was a constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR,published in Russian,French,English,and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. This issue celebrates four victories: Epron (a Special-Purpose Underwater Rescue Party for salvaging sunken ships and submarines),the Moscow-Kara-Kum-Moscow automobile run,the Pamir expedition and the flight of the Stratostat 'USSR'. The art composition is by El Lissitzy. Features a great photomontage of Stalin waving,with mountains,a parachutist,warships,a submarine and trucks in the background,and a diagram of the stratostat's flight,with heights and speeds marked on. Poor condition,paper losses and tears on cover,some pages are loose,tears,damage to the spine.

Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
