"Around the World" the oldest Russian and Soviet magazine focusing on popular science and geography,history,world culture,published since 1861. Cover illustration by N Ushin,Soviet graphic artist,theatre designer and book illustrator. Ushin illustrated the Russian translation of One Thousand and One Nights published in eight volumes by Academia. His illustrations for One Thousand and One Nights were awarded a gold medal at the 1937 Paris Exposition. Ushin also made lithographs and bookplates. His works are kept in several Saint Petersburg museums. List of this issue's artwork included illustrations by A Lubimov for the stories "Revolt on the "Saint Ann" and "Russians in Kongo",N Kochergin for the "Descent to the Maltshrem". Published by "Krasnaya Gazeta",1929. Fair condition,tears on the spine and margins,pencil handwriting on the back cover,rubbings. 24 pages.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
