A Soviet magazine Art in the Masses,issue number 1(9),January,1930. Dedicated to presenting the work of the Russian people,supported by the Association of Revolutionary Artists. A Constructivist design on the front cover featuring the stylised silhouettes of workers. This edition includes articles about ‘Equivalence and Neutrality’,‘The Federational Artist’s Society’ and ‘Art in the Turn’ which focuses on the problems of the artists’ revolution in the rebuilding period. List of some artwork inside: a statue of Lenin by B D Korolev; ‘Worker’ a painting by P P Sokolov-Skalya; ‘Wind with Moscow’ an ink drawing by P P Sokolov-Skalya; ‘Blast Furnaces’ an ink drawing by V S Pshenichnikov; ‘Bureau’ a painting by Franz Mazerel; various Communist posters; two paintings ‘The Seamstress’ and ‘ The Lecture; a poster ‘1905’ by A D Nemov; a painting ‘The Children’s Holiday’ by P Skorikov. Very good condition,stains on the back cover,small rips on the bottom of the spine. Creases on the top corner of the front cover. 32 pages.

Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
