At the Construction site of MTS and State Farms was Soviet art illustrated monthly magazine. It specialised in promoting the achievements of state and collective farm construction. The magazine by means of a photo essay and a photo reportage promoted "the best examples of honest work on the collective farm,the best examples of organisational activity at MTS and state farms,the best achievements in raising agriculture,culture and everyday life of collective farms and state farms”. It stood out as an independent publication from the journal "USSR in Construction". This issue is filmed by M Prekhner. M. Alpert,N. Kuleshov,Ovzer and I. Shagin are contributors to this issue. Designed by A. Shults,Soviet sculptor,master of easel and decorative monumental sculpture,teacher,art historian and artist. Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Theme and text by V. Shmerling,Russian Soviet writer,member of the Writers Union of the USSR. Published by IZOGIZ,30 000 copies. Poor condition,tears,staining,creases,tears and loss of material on the spine and on the margins,pages are frayed. Some pages are partially detached. Fold out front cover is partially reinforced with white paper. Small pencil handwriting on the front and back cover.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
