Illustrirovannaya Gazetta is an illustrated supplement to the newspaper Pravda. This issue features some wonderful photographs,including the cover image which shows the Mechanization square of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition,printed in colour. A feature on the arctic includes great images of Ivan Cherevichny,a Soviet pilot who completed polar flights,as well as scientists conducting experiments and camping on the ice. The back page is devoted to sport and shows images of a parade of gymnasts,as well as athletes running on a track and doing high jump,motorcyclists and people sailing. Very good condition,minor tears and creasing,number 37 written in pencil on front cover. No staples.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
