Soviet Magazine Red Field,issue number 32,20th November 1930. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. List of this issue's artwork included illustrations by artists such as M Avilov,N Vysheslavtsev. Mikhail Ivanovich Avilov was a Russian and Soviet painter and art educator,who lived and worked in Leningrad. He was a member of the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists,professor of the Repin Institute of Arts,Stalin Prize winner,People's Artist of the Russian Federation,regarded as one of the brightest representatives of Soviet Art,who played an important role in the formation of the Leningrad School of Painting. He is mostly known for his battle paintings. Good condition. Slight rubbings and staining. Unbound copy from a yearly subscription volume,top edge of magazine cropped. 20 pages.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
