Constructivist magazine Ekran / Экран,issue number 26,October 1925. The ‘working newspaper’. Weekly magazine on recent developments in the USSR and abroad. The cover features an illustration of Georgy Chicheri (1872-1936),a Russian Marxist revolutionary and a Soviet politician who served as the first People's Commissar for Foreign Affairs in the Soviet government,with foreign ministers of France,England,Germany,and Poland - Aristide Briand,Austen Chamberlain,Gustav Ernst Stresemann,and Aleksander Skrzynski,the back cover shows a colourful advertisement for Cross and Mauser,a 1925 Soviet silent adventure film directed by Vladimir Gardin,and depicts a priest secretly working for foreign intelligence who is forced to confront his dark past and atone for his sins,leading to a tragic betrayal and death. The issue includes articles on Chicherin in Europe,the government debt and credit,an excerpt from Four Months of Mercy,Abd el-Krim Former President of the Republic of the Rif,photo chronicles of the week,country news,an excerpt of Atlantis,and advertising on the back cover. Fair condition,loose cover,paper losses,tears,16 pages.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
