"Airplane" was a Soviet aviation magazine of the Central Council of the Union of OSOAVIAHIM of the USSR. This issue's artwork includes photographs taken by V Tukkel for the articles entitled "Wider Road to Soviet Planning","What Glider Activists Say" and "Excellent Students",photographs by I Shagyn for the article "Soviet Aviation Intelligence",photographs by M Klimenkov for the article "Hero of the Soviet Union S A Dalinin". Fair condition. Frayed spine,rubbings,prominent water staining on the front and back covers. Creases and tears on the margins. Pencil remarks on the front page. Published by "Redizdat CS OSOAVIAHIM of the USSR" in Moscow,1939. 31 pages.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
